We like to make fun of the minor league teams and players periodically, as
you have probably noticed. Not that we have a problem with them, but just that
everyone is shooting for the NBA, and the reality of not making it is usually
somewhat harsh.

Not always, though. Former Clemson star Vince Hamilton found unlikely
adoration, and home, in Iowa's Quad Cities. Last time we heard, he had stayed
there after his CBA career ended, and was much-loved.

Same
thing has happened to former Minnesota guard Arriel McDonald,
who is now the
King of Israel, more or less. He's achieved fame and fortune there, and is doing
well enough to complain of the treatment he gets from adoring fans. Not that he
totally minds.
