In today's Winston-Salem Journal, Lenox Rawlings offers a column on the proliferation of ads and commercialism in college sports and the reaction the final report of the Knight Commission has generated. Basically, his contention is that it's like shutting the gate after the horses have left, or to use his metaphor, the hogs.
