As Statefans reported earlier, Herb
Sendek is losing Sean Miller to Xavier. Frank Dascenzo sees
dark days ahead. Frank tends to see dark days - his writing at times
suggests that he is waiting for Armageddon - but he may have a point.
Unlike a lot of people, we actually enjoy Dascenzo. He gets a lot of
criticism locally, but generally he is entertaining as a writer, and we always
check his stuff, just like we check Al Featherston's.
On the other hand, he wrote similar things when Krzyzewski was trying to get
his program established, so who knows. But clearly at this point, State
needs a big season.
