As you have likely heard by now, Rick Pitino is walking
away from Boston, after meeting with nothing but failure. Red Auerbach, as
usual,
has some trenchant comments about the situation. Pitino is
likely to look back at college jobs (we're betting on Vegas).
You may remember that Larry Bird was interested in being either the GM or
coach of Boston before taking the Indiana job. Perhaps it's time to give him
another shot.
