Chris Burgess, who left Duke for more playing time and to prove himself, has
had a major setback: he has suffered a non-displaced avulsion fracture to
his ankle and is expected to be out for 6-8 weeks, effectively ending his
season. This on top of his earlier back struggles and then losing his coach
for the season makes us start to wonder about the Duke curse, which has been
active in Florida as well, where Billy Donovan is down to eight players, and
has probably lost Teddy Dupay for the year.
