James sends us the following weather and power alert(s) from the Golden State:
The Bay Area is expecting severe flooding today, and we're on a
Stage II power alert as of 4AM. If DBR goes down, or if my email
goes down, that's why.
A real winter storm here, the marine forecast includes 30-35 foot
swells and a coastal "rogue-wave" warning of possible 50-100 foot
waves. Snowline is 3500 feet, which means the mountains around
the bay have snow.
And to think we feel sorry for ourselves in North Carolina when a hurricane
is just off the coast! We hope there are no major problems, but if there
are, well, at least you will have an idea why.
