Next up in football: the red-hot Clemson Tigers. The Tigers are a team
reborn (and so is South Carolina. The fans in the Palmetto State must be going
nuts). After several years of mediocre football, Tommy Bowden seems to have
righted things, and Clemson is reclaiming its place in the football world.
The stagnation pretty clearly has ended. What should Duke expect? Well a
very tough game. They're liable to be much tougher than Vandy, for
instance. So while Duke is a heavy underdog, that's no reason to send the
team out by themselves. We hope Duke fans show up and support them. Yes,
they're struggling, but they're still our team and we should back them to the
hilt.
