We just posted a bit about the U.S. game vs. the Russians. Well, we just
heard on the radio what happened in the Lithuanian game - after a 12 point
halftime lead, the U.S. gave it all up and was in a dogfight. The
Lithuanians just missed the win.
Vince Carter hit a deep three, a breakaway dunk, and made one of two free
throws with 1:19 left and then hit from the left side with 31 seconds left.
We'll say it again: this team is not a championship team. But we didn't
realize how it would hit us in the gut to see them come so close to failing.
