The Olympic basketball tournament continues, and the U.S. continues to
underwhelm. The
last outing had the U.S. beating Russia by 15. This is not the Russia of
old; this is Russia without the Baltics, without the Ukraine. And the NBA
is 15 points better? This is not a good situation. This team has had close calls with Australia, Lithuania, France, and now Russia. There is no mystique left.
They may still win, but they are leaving the door open to an upset. Â
