Raleigh sensation Shavlik
Randolph was at Duke yesterday on an unofficial visit, according to Kurt O'
Neill, joining Oklahoman Sheldon Williams as early visits. Randolph has a pretty
versatile game and would fit in well at Duke in the Laettner/Ferry/Alarie mold.
Randolph, one of the best players out of the Triangle in years, likely the best
since Rodney Rogers and potentially the best since John Lucas, will be the
subject of a huge recruiting battle between Duke, State, and UNC. His
parents we understand attended UNC, but his namesake is his grandfather,
State legend Ronnie Shavlik. It's going to be a donnybrook!
