In an interesting and unanticipated move, Lou Campanelli has returned to
college basketball - but
as the coordinator of Pac-10 officials. Like the ACC's Fred Barakat,
of course, he's a former coach, which is probably a good perspective for the
job. Probably better than his predecessor Booker Turner, who was a Pac-10 ref
for a long time and periodically a source of controversy.
