There are very few people in basketball everyone likes. We found out
this spring that Bobby Cremins is one of them. You could make an argument for
Tubby Smith perhaps. It thins out quickly after that. Knight? C'mon.
Smith? A lot of people can't stand him. K? Same thing. Lute? Rubs some the
wrong way. Stu Vetter? No. Muggsy? Maybe.
One guy who everyone likes and respects is Morgan Wooten.
So it's wonderful to see him elected to the Hall of Fame. Not only has he
been a great coach, but he has done an awful lot to make young boys men, and
particularly in this era that's unusual. Hard to think of anyone more
deserving.
