In case you're just waking up and haven't heard the news, there
was a terrible accident in Charlotte after the race last night - a walkway
collapsed over Highway 29, plunging about 75 people 30 feet. So far, no
fatalities, but plenty of injuries and surgeries. We thought those of you who
live in the state, or who have friends near Concord who might be at the races
would like to know. It's a miracle no one has died - 30 feet is a long way down.
