Over
in Lexington, C.M. Newton is stepping down. It's hard to remember now, but
when he came back to Kentucky as A.D., the program had collapsed. Newton not
only restored the program, he gave it integrity. We're by no means
Kentucky fans, but you'd have to be blind not to notice his achievements.
Congratulations to him and a happy retirement. He'll be greatly missed by
college basketball.
