Alvin Jones has
decided to return to Tech for his senior season, which honestly leaves us
with mixed feelings. On the one hand we almost always think leaving early
is not wise. On the other hand, Jones has, in our opinion, hurt Tech as
much as he has helped them. It didn't bother us when Chris Washburn left
early, and it wouldn't have bothered many people (in retrospect) had Makhtar
Ndiaye left early. One hopes Paul Hewitt can do a better job with him than
Cremins did, but Alvin has repeatedly made it pretty clear he still has some
growing up to do. Aside from his maturity, his skills are also not that great yet, though he could certainly improve.
