To no one's surprise, Kenyon
Martin won the Wooden Award. He had a great season and deserved it, and he
earned a high spot in the draft as well. None of this would have happened
like this had he left early, of course, and a number of guys this year who could
have left early opted to stay,
the latest being Notre Dame's Troy Murphy. It's a good sign for the game,
and given the condition of the game, it could use a few good signs.
