During today's Final Four coverage, Coach K was awarded the Chevrolet Coach
Of The Year Award. He said that this year was the most fulfilling year he
had ever had as a coach, and speaking strictly as fans, we understand, somewhat
anyway, what he meant: after losing four first round draft picks, three of who
would have started this year, his kids came together and played at a very high
level for much of the year. At the end they wore down, but they still played and
fought hard. It's an honor well deserved, but one, as he noted,
rightly shared by his players.
