UNC, playing a superb defensive game, and almost pitching a shutout over the
last 7 minutes of the game, has taken out the second PAC-10 #1 Seed in as
many days. They limited Stanford to a very low percentage from the
fllor, and almost shut Casey Jacobsen out entirely. UNC will go on to play
the winner of the UConn-UT game, thus ensuring at least one ACC team in the
Sweet 16.
Congratulations to the Heels for a superb performance, and especially to Bill
Guthridge, who has heard a lot of hateful comments through this season.
Incidentally, UNC now has a wide open path to the Final Four.
