UVa had a sensational game last night with Georgetown,
an epic which went into triple overtime. At one point they were pretty much
matching shot for shot, a la Duke-Kentucky or Bird-Wilkins. It was a
thrilling game and it helped to remind us why, from time to time, college
basketball can reach past the problems, the seaminess, and the corruption, and
hit moments of just pure, beautiful passion. That was the Virginia game in
a nutshell. What a pleasure it was to watch! We only wish UVa could have
pulled it out.
