Mike Deane on playing Duke

We were going to be a 16th seed, and we were going to be in a very tough situation. The thing that concerns you is that they are so close to home, that they are the most formidable offensive team in the country, they are the deepest team, they are the most athletic team and they certainly are the best team in the country right now.

So, regardless of who we played, it was going to be a cliff-like uphill climb, and regardless of what happens in that game, it is not going to diminish anything we accomplished winning the championship here in the fashion that we did. The excitement that it has brought back to the program and to be back in the tournament is a tremendous accomplishment in your first-year as a head coach and for these seniors and a very young group of players
