Jaron Rush Crushed - 44 Game Suspension

The NCAA has dropped a hammer on Jaron Rush's head the size of Pauley
Pavilion, suspending
him for a total of 44 games, between this season and next,  for taking
money from an agent.
UCLA A.D. Peter Dalis says they're trying to
make an example out of him, which is likely true.  They are appealing.

To their credit, UCLA has told Rush they will honor his scholarship.

Meanwhile, Michigan's
Jamal Crawford
is sitting out as the
NCAA investigates his pre-college living arrangements

And out West, Frank
Burlison has an interesting column speculating on NCAA chances.
He says
Duke, Indiana, and Tulsa coaches have turned in the best jobs so far.
