Corey Maggette, who grossly overestimated his place in the basketball world, may
get another lesson in life: he might get traded to the Detroit Pistons.
Maggette, who is just starting his second year, is looking at his fourth
trade. Drafted by Seattle, he was then traded to Orlando, a great
situation with a rising star of a coach, but they decided to let him go and
traded him to the NBA version of hell, the Clippers. Now on to Detroit? If
so, he may well be Jerry Stackhouse's backup.
If we remember correctly, the NBA record for most teams played for is about
10, a record threatened by Eric Montross. At this rate, Maggette will get
it in a few more years.
