"The thing is, Dick Vitale used to be my favorite when I was in high school, but then I started realizing that he just loves everybody. I'm not too big on a person like that. Bill Walton's my favorite because I've gotten to know him and if you think about the way he's seen things in his life -- growing up and in college, he was the greatest player playing at the time -- he sees things through a different eye than Bob Costas and those other people. So when you hear him making fun of a player for missing a layup, it's because for him, he's seen things from a completely different perspective. I don't think a lot of people understand that. Before I got to know him, I didn't like him. But now, when I listen to him, I just think he's hilarious."
