A Mid-Season Rules Change

The NCAA has made an
unusual mid-season rules change,
allowing referees to use instant
replay. This comes after two seriously screwed up game-end situations, one
where Miami swiped a game from Villanova on a last second three when time had
expired, and the most bizarre game of all, the weird on between Texas A&M
and Texas Tech.

The rule takes effect on Friday. It only applies to last-second, game
altering situations. In the Duke-State game, it might have been used.
