After last year's dual Final Four appearances, both the men's and women's
teams were supposed to be down this season. But last night, with
Duke defeating Wake and #3
State losing to Clemson, the Duke women moved into sole possession of first
place at 15-1 and 4-0. The two teams are a combined 27-3, and it must be
said - a repeat trip for both to the Final Four, which seemed impossible in
April, while still improbable, could happen. Coach G is rapidly proving
herself to be one of the great coaches in women's basketball.
