After a summer which we believed advanced Haywood's game considerably, Brendan has had surgery on his thumb and will be out 4-6 weeks. We heard it from a couple of tipsters and WRAL also has the news.
Tough break for Brendan, who likely advanced his game a lot this summer, but he can still run with a cast, so our guess is the UNC staff will have him doing a lot of roadwork.
