Bradley. Presidential candidate Bill Bradley told him the
year he played on the freshman team, out of the
limelight, was very productive to him.
"I used the example to coach Smith of Jacque
Vaughn -- how he was extremely prepared for
college basketball, academics and college
atmosphere and how I thought it would not have
been a good situation for him not having that his
freshman year."
