Minnesota players have
voted for Bernie Bickerstaff to be hired as the next coach - and the
AD isn't at all amused.
In other Midwestern news, why has no one started talking up Notre
Dame? Aside from the fact that they have a bright, rising young
coach in Matt Doherty, since much of the Big 10 is in chaos, either
scandal wise, arrest wise, or other ways, aside from making a shrewd
choice of a coach, the Irish are in a position to capitalize on the Big
10's problems recruiting wise. Don't be shocked if Doherty reels in
a couple of big fish in the fall signing period. Some players are
certainly likely to look elsewhere.
