Here's some recruiting news for today:
-
Jared Jeffries
had an ankle sprain and couldn't really play in the Peach Jam
Classic. Now you know it's a lock that he's coming to Duke - he's had
the official Duke injury. Here's another article on the Peach Jam
Classic.
Here's another article on Jeffries from
the Chicago Sun-Times. If you read down a little bit, you'll see a
guy named Chris Hill mentioned - and that he's supposedly the quickest guy
from Illinois since Ricky Green. If you never saw Ricky Green in his prime -
he was so quick it was stunning, literally. You couldn't believe what you
were seeing. Kenny Smith was the closest thing we've seen to Ricky Green. If
he's that quick, then watch out. - Here's an article by nice guy Stewart Mandel from CNN/SI on how Caron
Butler has kicked some serious booty lately - and a nice Omar shot for
you UNC types. And among the younger set, DeJuan Wagner is causing a
frenzy, as is Tyson Chandler. - So here's a link mentioning
Chandler again, and also a number of profiles of other players. Tyson,
who we first heard of as an eighth grader, has been courted by the shoe
companies ever since. He's apparently a brilliant talent. - Here's a Michael
Joiner update. - Here's an Abdou
Diame link. - Kevin Stallings got
a recruit for Vandy. - Vegas is cranking up. Here's an article on Jason
Carter. - Finally, here's a link about how Max
Good, former coach at Maine Central Institute, is shaking things up at
Vegas. If you don't realize it, Good has built a tremendous
program at MCI, and has enormous contacts.
