Luke Recker
suffered a bad accident in Colorado Sunday, and spent most of the day
undergoing plastic surgery. He's apparently lost part of his ear and had some
significant reconstructive surgery on his ear and also for severe facial
lacerations.
He's lucky though. His girlfriend is partially paralyzed with a spinal
fracture. Her brother has a fractured spleen and a head injury (how do you
fracture an organ?)
The driver at fault is being held for investigation of vehicular homicide
(meaning they likely suspect drunkenness).
Tough summer for Lute Olson. His former assistant Ricky Byrdsong was just
laid to rest and now this. Fortunately, the good news is that Bobbi Olsen is
recovering wonderfully from cancer.
