Quin is and what drives him. He made a reputation as a recruiter, for
instance, but that drives him crazy. The hair thing, too. What Quin is
after, basically, is hugely ambitious and goes beyond wins and losses and in
fact is more along the lines of reinventing coaching. Notre Dame (who
passed on him because he was divorced and living with his fiancee), San Diego
State, and most of all Vanderbilt are going to realize very soon that they
really, really blew it. This one is a keeper.
