Here's some pretty damning links on the scandal at Minnesota. To his very
great credit, the President isn't ducking anything. He says it's ''one of the most serious cases of academic fraud ever reported to the
NCAA'', according to the Pioneer Press.
Eighteen players, overall, cheated with the help of Jan Gangelhoff. There
were 28 which were violations of one NCAA rule.
''The program was corrupt in almost any way you can look at it,'' Yudof said.
It's a sobering experience one assumes. The cleanup is the key. Yudoff
rejected the death penalty, proposing a sort of hotline program which jumps
directly to him, but that's not the answer. More to come, to be sure.
