hoops was busted by the NCAA for a secondary violation and will lose a
scholarship. Apparently Jeff Jones got a booster to rent an apartment to a
player. The violation was self-reported. Another booster provided the player
with 14,000 dollars of goodies, including "legal expenses, impermissible transportation, lodging, meals, spending money and other benefits,
" according to CNNSI.
There were a couple of other violations centering around a private plane,how
it was paid for, and who flew on it. UVa will only get nine official
visits next season instead of the normal twelve.
