Recently we linked to a piece on UNC Basketball.com about Bob Gibbons and a
chat session. Ben Sherman has posted this correction and we thought we'd pass it
on as well.
October 23: Earlier, we posted some information that had been passed on to us from sources, telling us about some
postings on a Rivals network chat room by someone using Bob Gibbons' name and encouraging a recruit to commit to a
school. The Rivals chat software allows people to assume any identity they want. We assumed it was Mr. Gibbons
himself and raised some questions about what was said. It has been brought to our attention that Mr. Gibbons and Rivals
assert it was not him and we certainly regret any confusion it might have caused.
