Nice McLendon Memorial

Someone wrote the other day and got in a snit because we said John McLendon
came up with the four corners when he was at Central, which was a while before
Dean came up with his version. He named someone else who ran it
first. Whatever. We're glad to have some backup now - here's some documentation
on McLendon's contributions
to the game, and some of his still valid ideas,
like making dunks a one point shot. Actually, he suggested painting a circle and
that anything inside that would be worth one point, so a foul line ICBM kind of
a dunk would still count for two. But he had a neat idea. Actually he had
a million neat ideas.
