The parquet floor is no more: Boston
is retiring the oldest floor in pro basketball; tonight
was the last night. It's really sad in a lot of ways. Among other
things, every Hall Of Fame Player has played on that floor. That's
astonishing. That'll go on for a few more years, and eventually someone
like Grant Hill will be a trivia question for being the first Hall of Famer to not
play on it.
