The Carl Franks era kicks off today at ECU. Duke football has a long and spectacular tradition, though of course in recent years it hasn't been as glorious. But from the 30's through the 60's, Duke was a real force in football, and under Steve Spurrier some of the magic returned.
Carl Franks as you surely know learned at the knee of Steve Spurrier. He played and coached under him. Yet genius, which even Spurrier haters will admit he has, is a gift rarely passed on. You have it or you don't.
It'll be a lot of fun to see Franks reveal himself as both a man and a coach. We want to wish him, and the team, the best of luck today and all season.
Let's Go Devils!
Oh, before we forget, if anyone is going and wants to write it up, please feel free!
