I would think that the two Athletic departments would have the resources to administer it, but how would interest in the trophy be promoted and finance. The plan is likely going to be Lost and then V, back-to-back at 9 and 10pm on Tuesdays. I could see that being an exceptionally powerful combo for ABC.

Lawson dunked over a 7-footer the other night, but the best part was that the game announcers called him "Tyrus". Priceless.

Just goes to show that, in some instances, there are distinct NBA vs. NCAA fan bases who are basically unaware and/or disinterested in the other "league". Or maybe it just shows that a lot of on-air sports "talent" are just empty hairdos.

First off it was more secretive than HB's. He tried so hard to keep everyone guessing and I don't get it. He was down to seven schools with UT and Syracuse being the favored schools. Then this kid announces on ESPN U at the ESPN zone in new york city that he is going to Tennessee. announcement was at 6PM and Syracuse played at MSG vs Cal at 7PM. Lots of booing and heckling. Kid has nuts. Good article about it.

It was a game of stops and starts for Duke offensively. The defense was pretty consistent throughout the game, GSU did a decent job of weathering it in the front court, and did very well at handling the press in the back-court, they weren't as turnover prone as some other teams we've played (although we still forced 24, a decent number). The offense was a little bit off at times, with us committing 17 turnovers ourselves (fewer than other games, but still pretty high). Our rebounding was good (we out-rebounded them 27-22; a low number because GSU slowed it down on offense and because of the turnovers on both sides). Not sure how I feel overall about the game, since GSU was picked to finish sixth in SoCon by the coaches.

Individual performances, I thought KJ did very well coming back from her injury/illness/whatever. Joy had some very good plays in the first half and played with real energy on both ends of the court. Krystal is developing her post skills and continues to show improvement, but she keeps trying her hook shot that I've seen work like once in either of the games that I've seen (maybe she's hitting 80% in the ones that I haven't; who knows? ;) ). Allison Vernerey is still impressing me, even though she didn't score as much last night as she has in the past. Jasmine, Karima, and Bridgette also played pretty well, IMO.

Anyway, those were my thoughts on the game.

However, BC is selling a 5-game package for $99 that includes the Duke game. You get to pick 2 other games that are against other ACC teams or major non-conference games, and then 2 other games that are against the bad teams on the schedule. The only ACC game that you can't pick is the game against UNC, they are selling a similar 5-game pack for that game.

Anyways, if you look online right now, you can't find tickets via Stubhub or anywhere else that are below $99 per ticket for only the Duke game, so it's actually a good deal to buy this pack and get tickets for other games as well. I went to the game @ BC last year and paid more than $100/ticket, so I'm definitely taking advantage of this. Let's get lots of Boston-area Duke fans at the game! Here's the link:

He went through the line of mostly consisting of parents and actually talked with them individually. We both shared a laugh as he shook my hand and told me he needed me in a Duke shirt next time we met. I was really impressed.
