DeMarcus' hometown - Vallejo, CA - files for bankruptcy

Don't think this has been mentioned anywhere, but not too long ago (on May 24) Dmarc's hometown and where he went to high school - Vallejo, CA (population of 120,000) - filed for bankruptcy.

The city councilwoman says it was necessary as a result of the bloated pension/salary benefits of government workers, particularly fireman and policeman:

That should have read "firmen and policemen". I realize that there's more than one person fulfilling those duties. :p

Sounds like the councilwoman is shifting blame. I'm pretty sure the government workers didn't get to vote for their bloated salaries.

I lived in Vallejo for seven months in 1982. The city was hurt by the closing of Mare Island Naval Shipyard.
