I was a huge (Marvel) comic book nerd when I was a kid, so the recent explosion of Marvel movies has been quite happy-making for me. Sure, there have been some notable missteps (I'm looking at you, Daredevil and Punisher), but the positives definitely outweigh the negatives.

With that said, I could not be more excited for Iron Man (trailers (http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/ironman/)). Robert Downey, Jr. is perfect for the character of Tony Stark, and Jon Favreau is enough of a dork to handle the franchise with care. Can't wait for May 2.

I'm secretly hopeful that this will out gross Indy, assuming it lives up to its trailer potential and Indy lives down to my lukewarm expectations. That would be fitting karmic retribution to George Lucas for the prequels and to Harrison Ford for that earring.

A couple of my Phi Kapp friends at Duke painted a beautiful full color rendition of Iron Man on their dorm wall. It was unveiled to the Black Sabbath song of the same name. Way cool-back in the day.

I just saw last night that they releasing a new incredible hulk this summer...I hadn't heard ANYTHING about this before last night. I must be really out of the loop as I used to know about this stuff WAY in advance

Oh man...I really hope that, despite those issues, the movie ends up being good. I like Ed Norton's acting usually so we'll see how it comes out in this.
