I saw that on the news this morning. That pilot is good. And lucky.

What a fine line it is between amusing/entertaining and tragic.

I found this clip amusing because everything ended up okay (plus or minus soiled underwear, vomit stench and a few cases of mild heart attacks.

In short:

Plane wobbling down a runway in a storm only to lift back up in the sky: funny good thing!

Plane wobbling down runway in a storm then careening into a VOR station, flipping, then bursting into a ball of fire, gas, and human excrement = a dissapointing, sad bad thing.

I'm glad the latter did not happen.

I thought it was great seeing the story, because the original post came from a website I joined last year (http://liveleak.com/). The intention of the site is to promote as much raw news videos as possible, but it's pretty impossible, so of course we have the boobs and butts. But predominately its a user delegated site, that when it works well is a great news source for facts and opinions that you don't get from cnn.com and fauxnews.com. (Which was great that both had the liveleak vid on their front page today :))
