Okay DukeMom in LA, I'm trying again:

All: Who was your first celebrity crush?

Mine, EarlJam's, was Julie from The Love Boat. I think she ended up being a big heroin addict. But still, I dugged her.

Winnie Cooper - The Wonder Years.

A few years ago I was behind her on the security line at LAX Airport for about 20 minutes and never said a word. Then she sat one seat away from me at the gate waiting area before we were on the same five hour flight four rows apart. Nothing.

Shelly Fabares from the Donna Reed show when I was in sixth grade and had a French girlfriend. By girlfriend, I mean she would upbraid me for something or other, I would kick over her purse, and sometimes we would make up by playing catch with the football at recess. A couple of hormone-riddled years later I bonded profoundly with a poster of Jayne Mansfield in a bikini.

You're right. From IMDB...

Best known as America's alluring dream girl from her days as Winnie Cooper on "The Wonder Years" (1988), Danica McKellar made her breakthrough at the early age of 12. After that show ended, she went on to graduate Summa cum Laude from UCLA with a degree in Mathematics, and even proved a new math theorem, the Chayes-McKellar-Winn Theorem.

Never heard that, but mtv jumped the shark the day she was let go (the first time. It said something that they hired her back). That was also about the time they got rid of the orginal set, you know that looked sort of like a den.

Each Bond girl has her own following (well, maybe not Denise Richards, Lois Chiles, or Tanya Roberts).

Seymour did not have the signature movie history moment of Ursula Andress. Honor Blackman gets a higher rating too ... I think Shirley Eaton in Goldfinger also had a more memorable scene in cinema history (painted gold), but she generally doesn't appear in these polls.

Check out Ursula, Honor, and this year's poll in the Daily Mail:

Just last night on WTVD, they were discussing how Ivan Dixon, Durham native, was in the original Raisin in the Sun. That got me humming the theme song to Hogan's Heroes. That got me remembering exactly where I was when we heard that Bob Crane had been killed (family vacation in Florida), which is strange since I was only eight at the time.

And according to iMDb, he was bludgeoned to death with a video camera tripod in a Scottsdale Arizona hotel room. Never found out who dunnit.

It's hard to say who was first. Several of my kid crushes are already list. I'd have to say that Erin Gray was probably the earliest. The others are Danica McKellar and Alyssa Milano.

I didn't want to say Alyssa because she was pretty young back when I first thought she was cute. Of course, I was young too...

It all started with Wonder Woman when I was a very young boy....I still have the poster that was above my bed :)

From there it was Nicole Eggert, Samantha( Who's the boss--Alyssa Milano)Kelly Bundy, Winnie Cooper, and Kelly K (Tiffani Amber Thiesen)

Ironically enough I still lust after all of them....even to this day

Ever seen the movie Blown Away with Eggert?

I asked earlier if it's creepy if I (26) still think Kelly Bundy (16) is hot... Of course, in real life Christina Applegate is 10 years older than me, and I was probably 12 when I first noticed the 16-year old Kelly Bundy. EarlJam is waiting for Chris Hansen with me.

Okay DukeMom in LA, I'm trying again:

All: Who was your first celebrity crush?

Mine, EarlJam's, was Julie from The Love Boat. I think she ended up being a big heroin addict. But still, I dugged her.

I guess my first celebrity crush was Miley Cyrus. I'm kidding, I'm kidding.

Probably Donna Dixon from Bosom Buddies, either that or Lisa Whelchel (Blair) from Facts of Life.

I see on the board that there is now a banner ad for the original series "Emergency!" Full episodes can apparently be viewed on NBC.com.

I think we owe Tilly for this? Randolf Mantooth crush?

This did get me to remembering the show and of course............the nurse. She was older (especially for me at the time), but she was sexy. That nurses outfit rocked. They don't "dress up" nurses like they used to anymore. :(

An interesting note . . . Julie London, who played Dixie, was married to Bobby Troup (the gray-haired doctor) during the show. At the same time, she was divorced from Jack Webb, the producer of Emergency!

And I preferred Roy. He hasn't aged well.

Is it just me, or could Randolf Mantooth have passed for George Harrison's double?

Well this thread just confirms that while I am not the oldest person here I'm pretty darn old. I wasn't much for TV/movie stars as a kid. I was more in to rock stars and I was a Beatles and Rolling Stones fan. I always thought Brian Jones was really cute, and I had a crush on George Harrison at that age too.

In my early high school years I developed a fondness for the guy in the Britcom Doctor in the House. Just looked it up and his name was Barry Evans but I can't find a photo.

I had a thing for Miss Havisham, but no great expectations of anything coming of it.

entire thread and cannot believe that Angie Dickinson and my all-time favorite, Mary Tyler Moore were not mentioned at all. Also, when I was around 10, June Wilkinson.

Ah ha! Of course there's more than one Barry Evans so I had to qualify it...

I fell for Angie when I was a kid, sneaking in the local movie house, seeing Pretty Maids All in a Row. MTM was too much reminiscent of my first cousin.

I actually saw her in Ri Bravo, the original Ocean's Eleven with Sinatra, and the Sins of Rachel Cade, then of course, Dressed to Kill. As for MTM, the old Dick Van Dyke Show was my favorite ever TV show and she was a major reason.

Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, and Duke Ellington. The Duke is dead (..long live the Duke). But Paul and Mick are still rocking. AMAZING! Let's hear it for us older-folk-who-think-we're-hot. Cool.

Oh wow, totally good call.

Though for "Brat Pack" era films, I was more of a Judd Nelson fan (something about the bad boy image, hmm.)

Also was very into Kiefer Sutherland and Jason Patric from Lost Boys.
