You could also have titled your post, Why life insurance rates are higher for men than for women

Or as the great singer-songwriter guy clark said,

The only difference 'tween the men and the boys
Is the size of their feet and the price of their toys,
Always running around, making too much noise
Ain't it funny, how men will be boys

Hey Ya'll. Watch this!

I've gotta give them credit for correct calculations on where to place the landing area.

I think I'd have to be proud of my [hypothetical] son if he ever did that. Better wrecking the lawn w/ water for an awesome feat than trash the house w/ a cliched party.

Of course, I'd be concerned about being liable if one of those friends hurt himself while on it. It seems if you make the choice to go down it you should bear the consequences, but I'm sure one could get sued over it and that's too bad.

Either that, or we didn't see the multiple tries it took to get it in the right spot!

I showed this to a friend who pointed out that one of the kids at the very beginning of the movie was wearing a sling. Hmmmm.....

I'm disappointed that none of them went down head first. If you're going to do something really stupid, you might as well go all out.

For some reason my boyfriend & his friends decided to buy a bunch of beer and a slip n slide last Memorial Day. (They're all in their late 20's early 30's.) None of them realized how short a slip n slide is when you're an adult, compared to how long it was when you were a chap.

I was sore for days.

Looks like they actually did what your BF and friends were aiming for.

Clearly, they did well in physics class... or at least, we only saw one miss. I wonder how many actually didn't hit the target.

Got any future VaTech/GaTech students in the video?

On the other hand, if they did this in Georgia, they'd be fined for water use violations (we're still under severe drought restrictions).

Cheers,

I was thinking that the swearing part wouldn't fit my image of Duke engineering students.

Sorry ... I was caught up with the dialog in another thread, and I was still thinking about VT & GT fans.

But remember ... we have the beer launcher!!:D
