I know it's two week old news, but Leno & Conan return Wednesday, no matter that the writers' status remain unsettled. According to the AP, the first guest was just announced: presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.

Meanwhile, Worldwide Pants (Letterman's production company) has negotiated an agreement with writers for both Letterman and Ferguson. Letterman's guest Wednesday night will be Robin Williams.

Any details out there as to how Letterman was able to reach an agreement? Might there be a path to resolving the writers' strike?

Sure beats competitive reality TV shows!

Cheers,

I don't think Letterman sells too many DVD's of his past shows to have to pay his writers on. They want a cut of the DVD and internet distribution profits. I heard they only want 2% of the profit, which isn't too bad, but I'm sure there is more to it than that.
