I was at a party last night. The owner of the house had a dog named Sherlock. When told the name of the dog, the person petting it repeated back to her, "Sherlock? Cool name. Where's Watson?"

"Yeah," she responded. "That's who he's named after, Sherlock Holmes."

Isn't that sort of a given?
