Do hotels in Paris get ESPN? I foolishly booked my trip during the Maui Invitational. Is there a place to watch games? I'd appreciate any restaraunt tips as well, not too expensive. We are staying a couple blocks from the Arc de Triomphe. Any different touristy things to do would also be helpful, like the sewer tour and the cemetary, which I've not done. Thanks.

Everywhere I've been outside of North America gets the worldwide version of ESPN, which shows pretty much nothing but soccer, with a occasional NBA game on tape delay.

I understand they get the same version of ESPN in Hell.

But with more frequent showings of "Who's Now."

I believe France has access to NASN(North American Sports Network), its probably unlikely that you'd have that in your hotel room(its a pay channel), but you should probably be able to find a bar around somewhere that does have it(when in London, there were several bars where I was able to catch games on the station.

The real issue is being able to see the games live - I forget when they play in Lahaina, but the time difference between Hawaii and Paris is close to 11 hours. (12 hours right now, in fact.)

I had the pleasure of watching the 03 FF game in London at 2:30 in the morning and then getting on a plane at 11 am. Would have been worth it if the stall ball hadn't been putting me to sleep as the lead slipped away.

Which would actually put the Maui thing at a decent hour. Like lunch time the next day.

I think, for the first time, I may not watch our Maui/Alaska type games. I'm too old. I tried watching the last time we were out there and slept through the 2H of all our games.
