I'm happy to say the first leg is done. I'm in my hotel room in London trying to force myself to sleep so I can get up and present tomorrow.

I'm also happy to report that my upgrades are clearing, so at least the flying parts of the trip will be very comfortable. I am already upgraded from LHR-ORD and ORD-PDX for Friday. I love AA.

Sorry, I think you're in the wrong place. Flyertalk is down the hall and to the right.

In five years as a UA 1K I've had two upgrades fail to clear. I've had close calls, though, including getting the last C seat on HKG-ORD.

Sitting on the plane at ORD, waiting to fly to Portland. This has been a long day, but I got some really cool pictures as we were flying over Greenland. Travel is fun.
