Okay, it's an oldie but a goodie; and to my knowledge it's never been asked around here....until now. This topic came up on the Public Policy board (Thread Topic: Oh Crap!) yesterday and I wanted to get a definitive answer.

Who do you find more attractive/appealing to the eyes?

Mary Ann or Ginger?

Mary Ann. Cute, perky.

Ginger is kind of slutty. Admittedly, this works in her favor, but she just can't overtake Mary Ann.

If you mean for a potential relationship, then Mary Ann.

If you mean for a one off, then Ginger for sure.

Just overall. I find Mary Ann to be beautiful and cool. And she makes a good coconut pie too. Ginger, on the show and allegedly in real life, is quite the female dog.

Mary Ann! Ginger was too plastic looking.
Skipper was too beer hall looking.
Mr. Howell was too country club.
Mrs Howell was too junior league.
Gilligan was too two.
The professor could build a two-way radio out of five coconuts and a dime, but didn't have the brains to patch a freaking hole in the boat hull?

Mary Ann

1) good posture.
2) better teeth --- I checked her mouth once while she yawned and only 2 fillings vs 5 for Ginger.
3) no moles on her face.
4) pretty on the inside --- her colonoscopy showed zero polyps vs Ginger's 9 or 10.
5) fan of Stevie Nix and Lindsey Buckingham, two great musicians.
6) natural brunette --- vs Ginger, supposedly a redhead who once went to see the Doctor and said, "Doctor I'm hurting all over my body." "That's odd", replied the Doctor, "Show me what you mean." So Ginger takes her finger and pokes her elbow, and screams in pain. She touches her knee and cries in agony and so on. The Doctor says, "You're not a natural redhead are you?" "No I'm a blonde", she replies. "I thought so," replied the Doctor .... "your finger is broken."

Colchar is my second favorite Canadian, just behind Bryan Adams.

Kidding. Colchar is #1. Bryan Adams sucks like the suckiest sucking sucker in all of Sucksville.

worse than celine?

I think so. Celine most assuredly sucks, but she can hit all kinds of notes, while hitting herself with her fists in the process. I'd have to say Adams sucks significantly more than Celine sucks.

Who was that female ice skater from Canada that, with her partner, got cheated out of a medal in the Olympics years ago? Sele?? She is ranked quite high on EarlJam's list of favorite Canadians. Very pretty girl.

Okay -- definitely Mary Ann -- unless you're looking for a quick lay (which I assume some of you are).

As for Canada's greats -- what about Wayne G. in hockey. Or the wonderful ice skater Kurt Browning???!!! Or Gilda Radner. or Paul Schaffer. or Anne Murray. Or the most wonderful 'fiddler' Natalie MacMaster??!!

Expand your horizons beyond Ginger vs. Mary Ann.

Phyllis Gretzky most definitely was not from Mayodan or anywhere else in NC for that matter. She was born and raised in Paris Ontario (halfway between where I live and Brantford where she and Walter raised their family). She was a descendant of Isaac Brock (British general during the War of 1812). She and Walter married in Paris Ontario and then moved to Brantford.

Mary Ann: the ideal girl next door.

Ginger: high maintenance snob. Had no visible advantages over Mary Ann, either (unless wardrobe is important to you).

One night or a lifetime, doesn't matter. Mary Ann / Dawn Wells was all that and a pina colada.

Sure she did, we just can't discuss them openly in this forum.

(unless wardrobe is important to you).

Nope, the only thing that was important was what was under the wardrobe.

The hearsay I refer to was corrected locally that they (the Gretzkys) Had friends in the area. Apparently Walt had spoken before a group near here.

I can say with all confidence that the late WRAL kiddie show star Uncle Paul Montgomery was a native of Mayodan, NC.

Take US 220 north from Greensboro or US 311 north out of Winston. If on 311, turn left at Madison and Mayodan is the next town. If on 220 continue north after passing the intersection with 311 and turn left on NC 135 (at Dan Valley, NC). 135 goes straight into Mayodan.

Mayodan is north of Madison, west of Dan Valley and south of Stoneville. Everyone has been there...LOL

By an overwhelming 3-1 margin, male DBRsters (assuming all male) have selected Mary Ann over Ginger as the girl they'd rather, well, just you know....be with I guess. So, hey, ahhhh, congrats? I guess?

She looks a lot like Jackie Kennedy in that image. Mary Ann doesn't get the props she deserves for making the "Daisy Dukes" popular. Catherine Bach sucks.
