I fully expected to see EarlJam posting this already...

In a nutshell, Offerman homers in the first, and the next bat gets plunked. He then goes crazy and takes the bat to the mound with him and catches the catcher on a back swing.

The good news for Offerman is that he surpassed his record for hits in a game with this one.

Missed that one but it's fantastic. First thought: Why, WHY is the pitcher standing there, fist in air, ready to take on a madman with a bat in his hands?

In that situation, you run...............fast. Or, if you have a gun you shoot him.

No, no, no! If you're plotting to kill the Queen of England, or rather, if you're hypnotized and will be used to assassinate the Queen, then you stash your gun under second base. You don't carry it around on the field! What if you had to slide?
