My friends in Hollywood are hearing that Zachary Quinto will not be returning to Heroes. Ah well, who cares what happened to Sylar anyway?
I wonder if that is his choice or a choice made by the idiots (Tim Kring) who are running this show.

Did your sources not know why Zach wouldn't be returning or just couldn't say?
Did he get the part of Spock in the next Star Trek film?

My source could not say. It was something folks were talking about at the Heroes Season One DVD launch party.
I have heard Zachary talk about Spock a lot in various interviews. I don't think they have started casting the film yet. The script is still being written, I think. JJ Abrams had not even begun looking at actors the last I heard. Zach's possibility for the role would depend on whether they go with stars or lesser-known actors.
-Jason "I love that JJ is doing this-- I really liked his work in MI:III" Evans
So much for my favorite Heros character.
